Does Our Love Requited?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Many might wonder what is the meaning of love. Many people may know about love but many are destitute about love.

What is the Love?

Love is something beautiful. Love is something natural. Love is sweet and tenderness. Love is precious. Love is patient, Love is kind. Love is no envy. Love is hope. Love can protects. But the great love is "The Love of Allah".

Do we really love Allah? What is the proof? Do we love someone for the sake of Allah? Do we live our life for the sake of Allah? Do we lead our worship for the sake of Allah? Do we seek knowledge for the sake of Allah? Do we always recite His name other than the name of our beloved? Do we dedicate our love by perform solah five times a day? Do we really know Him?

"Forgive me Ya Allah.. Give me Your guidance and strenght.. Light me along this journey. Show me the right Path.. The way you blessed nor of the misguided way". I'm still searching, indeed.

Hubb (mahabbah) and wudda (mawaddah), both are the same meaning of love, the words very frequently occurrence in the Qur'an. God's love in its universal manifestation is generally referred to in the Qur'an under the terms rafah and rahmah. Rafah can be translated as compassion, kindness or pity, while rahmah is usually rendered as grace, love, blessing or mercy. About God's rahmah the Qur'an says that it encompasses all things:

"My punishment I inflict upon whom I will but My rahmah embraces all thing.." Al'Araaf: verse 156

"O our Sustainer! You embrace all things within (Your) rahmah and knowledge" Al Mukmin: verse 7

Ar-Rahman (The Merciful) is one of the key attributes to Allah, other than 98 Names of Allah. May Allah give His Mercy to us and to his servants. Amin.

"Fair in the eyes of men is the love of things they covet: Women and sons; heaped-up hoards of gold and silver; horses branded (for blood and excellence); and (weath of) cattle and well tilled land. Such are the possessions of his worlds life; but the nearness to God is the best of the goals (To return to)". Ali-Imran: verse 14. Nauzubillahiminzalik.

"On those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, will (God) Most Gracious bestow love....". Maryam: verse 96

Love bound and will not fade until the end of time even though separated by death. Don't betray the love that be given to us.. Let's start our life to know Him better...and to love Him. Because He does not need us but, it is we who really needs Him.

~ Alhamdulillah.
